Cairo, May 13 /Xinhua/ — China and Arab states share broad prospects for developing practical cooperation in various fields, says a report from the Xinhua analytical center published here on Wednesday.
The report titled “Achievements, Opportunities and Prospects of Chinese-Arab Cooperation in the New Era,” published by the Xinhua Institute, the analytical center at the Xinhua News Agency, notes that in response to the global energy transition, China and Arab states follow this trend by positioning cooperation in the field of new energy sources as a new growth driver and gradually forming a model characterized by coordinated development of traditional and renewable energy sources, as well as mutual strengthening of potential both through technologies and viaproject implementation.
The traditionally high level of cooperation in the oil and gas trade between the two sides has significantly accelerated interaction in such areas as hydrogen energy and solar energy, the report notes.
China also supports its energy enterprises and financial institutions in participating in renewable energy source projects in Arab countries, with a total established capacity exceeding 3 million kilowatts.
Both sides also see strong dynamics in cooperation in areas such as increasing industrial capacity, scientific and technological innovations, education, and tourism, as indicated in the report.
