Beijing, May 12 /Xinhua/ — China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Tuesday called on Pakistan to activate mediatory efforts in the conflict around Iran and contribute to an appropriate resolution of issues related to the opening of the Strait of Hormuz.
Van Yi, who is also a member of the Politburo of the CPC Central Committee, made a corresponding appeal during a telephone conversation with the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, Makhdoom Shah Mahmood Qureshi.
