In the folklore center “Moskva,” the Russian orchestra of popular music “Masters of Russia” under the direction of Valery Petrov will present a program uniting various genres and eras: works by Russian and foreign composers, folk melodies, jazz, pop, and Latin American rhythms.
In the program — “Festival in the Village” by Vladimir Komarov, Johann Strauss’s waltz “Tales of the Viennese Forest”, compositions by Sergey Rachmaninov, Vyacheslav Semenov, Astor Piazzolla, and a composition from the repertoire of the group ABBA.
The orchestra soloists, a children’s duo (Kirill Pozdnyakov and Nikita Valkovsky), pianist Ilona Mazan, and bayan player Ildar Salaov participate.
The concert demonstrates the modern sound of a folk instrument orchestra.
