An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.

The “Vystino” gallery of the “Moscow Exhibition Halls” association offers a comprehensive ticket for two exhibitions.

The exhibition “Russian Abroad” explores the phenomenon of Russian identity through the creativity of 20th-century artists who found themselves outside the homeland. It features original lithographs by masters of the ParisianschoolsAndrei Lanskoy, Nikola de Stale, Serge Poliakoff, Sonia Delaunay. Their works transform Russian traditions (icon, lubok, avant-garde) into universal artistic categories: color, light, form and rhythm. The key exhibit is lithographs by Andrei Lanskoy for Nikolai Gogol’s “Notes of a Madman.” They reveal the metaphysical nerve of Russian culture.

There also operates the “Proto-Museum” — a joint project of the “Vyshino” gallery and the creative studio “TaF Workshop.” It introduces objects of everyday life, which showcase the so-called proto-design: archaic furniture, peasant utensils, tools and implements of labor. Through these exhibits, visitors will see the connection between the decoration of items of everyday use by our ancestors and contemporary manifestations of Russian design thought.
