Cairo, May 11 /Xinhua/ — The Director General of the Xinhua News Agency, Fu Hua, held a meeting on Monday in Cairo with Mohamed Faiz Faratom, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the publishing house “Al-Ahram.”
As noted by Fu Hua, the Xin Hua agency and the publishing house “Al-Ahram” are important media institutions in their countries and have a long history. According to him, both organizations make a positive contribution to the spreading of Chinese-Egyptian friendship and to reflecting the deep sympathy between the peoples of the two countries.
Fu Hua emphasized that Xin Hua is ready to activate exchanges and mutual learning with the publishing house “Al-Asram” in order to uphold and develop the valuable aspirations of the SMI, to bear witness to the epochal process of the Global South’s united self-strengthening, and together to speak with a louder and more constructive “voice of the South.”
M. F. Farahat on his part stated that mass media serve as a bridge and connecting link for strengthening mutual understanding and friendly feelings between the peoples of different countries. He assured that the publishing house “Al-Asr” is ready to further deepen exchanges and cooperation with Sina, jointly telling inspiring stories about Egyptian-Chinese cooperation for mutual benefit, consolidating even more consensus and strength for the continuous development of relations between the two countries.
