Tehran, May 11 /Xin Hua/ — The oil tanker Agios Fanourios I passed through the Strait of Hormuz on Sunday along the route indicated by Iran after coordination with Iranian authorities, the Tasnim news agency reported on Monday.
The tanker transports oil from Iraq to Vietnam and is currently being inspected in the Omani Gulf, according to the report.
Iran emphasized that the passage of unarmed vessels through the strait will be possible only along routes determined by Iranian authorities, after coordination with Tehran and obtaining its permission. –0–
