Beijing, May 9 /Xinhua/ — At the 9th EXPO “China-Eurasia”, which will be held from June 25 to 29 in the city of Urumqi (administrative center of Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, Northwest China), two new special zones dedicated to productive forces of new quality and green development will be created for the first time, the Chinese daily “Xinjiang Daily” reported on Saturday.

The planned exhibition area of the upcoming event will be 140 thousand sq. m. In addition to the two above-mentioned special zones, four more special zones will be created at EXPO, covering topics such as investment cooperation, specific and competitive industries, cultural and tourist integration, and cooperation within the framework of the Silk Road. Their creation is aimed at precise alignment with the needs of the Eurasian market and building a platform for industrial cooperation.

As reported, the special economic zone “productive forces of a new quality” will focus on advanced industrial sectors, including the digital economy, the high-tech economy, artificial intelligence, and advanced intellectual production. At the same time, leading industry enterprises will have the opportunity to demonstrate advanced technologies and innovative achievements. In particular, at the “small economy of heights” stand, visitors will be able to learn about the development of infrastructure and technological progress in areas such as the use of drones and communication technologies for low-altitude aviation, and at the “advanced intellectual production” stand new products, new technologies, and comprehensive solutions in this industry will be demonstrated.

YOUNGSUN, a company specializing in the production of intellectual equipment, located in the city of Hangzhou in Zhejiang Province in eastern China, is participating for the first time in the EXPO “China-Eurasia,” where it will present more than a thousand patented technological achievements. At the same time, the company is ready to focus attention on demonstrating its general-purpose robots, which can be used for automatic packaging and sorting in many fields such as the food industry, beverage production, the chemical industry, and agriculture.

“We look with optimism at the value of the EXPO ‘China-Eurasia’ as a platform and hope to take advantage of the opportunity to participate in it to demonstrate our brand and technological potential,” noted this company.

As for the special zone of “green development,” it will pay particular attention to ecology and environmental protection, new energy, low-carbon technologies, and other areas. Demonstrating achievements and practical results in the field of green and low-carbon development, it is intended to promote cooperation in the green industry and sustainable development.

Currently, preparations for the 9th EXPO “China-Eurasia” are advancing steadily, with domestic and foreign businessmen actively submitting applications to participate in this event.

EXPO “China-Eurasia” is an international comprehensive state-level fair focused on Eurasia. It has already become an important window for developing high-level contacts between China and Eurasian countries, facilitating cooperation between China and neighboring countries, creating a key zone of the Silk Road Economic Belt, and demonstrating the image of Xi’an.

Since 2011, the EXPO “China-Eurasia” has been successfully held eight times. The exhibition area increased from 80 thousand sq. m at the first EXPO to 140 thousand sq. m. More than 15 thousand Chinese and foreign enterprises participated in the last event, and the total number of visitors to this EXPO since 2011 approached 2 million people. The EXPO “China-Eurasia” has played an important role in strengthening mutual understanding on cooperation issues and expanding opportunities for cooperation in Eurasia. -0-
