Financial news: The Moscow Exchange begins trading new futures on digital currency indexes.

On May 14, 2026, the Moscow Exchange urgent market instrument lineup will be expanded with three new futures contracts on Solana indices (MOEXSOL), Ripple (MOEXXRP), and Tron (MOEXTRX), calculated by the Moscow Exchange. The instruments will be available only to qualified investors.

New contracts provide additional opportunities for participating in the price movement of popular cryptocurrencies and diversification of portfolios for professional traders, private and institutional investors. The new instruments are cash-settled and do not involve delivery of digital currency. Settlements will be conducted in Russian rubles.

“The launch of futures on Solana, Ripple, and Tron indices is a logical development of the digital assets contracts segment on the Moscow Exchange’s derivatives market. We provide Russian investors access to the largest cryptocurrencies without the need to trade on foreign platforms and bear infrastructural risks. Over 62,000 clients of the derivatives market have already participated in deals with crypto asset contracts on the Moscow Exchange, and we are pleased to offer them additional opportunities to expand trading strategies.”

Parameters of new contracts:

Futures contract for the MOEX Index Solana:

  • contract code – SOL (short code – S3);
  • quotation – in US dollars as the value of the Index;
  • Price step – 0.01 US dollars;
  • The cost of a step is $0.01 USD.

Futures contract on the MOEX Index payout:

  • contract code – XRP (short code – XR);
  • Quotation – in US dollars as the value of the Index;
  • Price step – 0.0001 US dollars;
  • The cost per step is $0.01.

Futures contract on the MOEX Index Tron:

  • contract code – TRX (short code – TX);
  • quotation – in US dollars as the value of the Index;
  • Price step – 0.0001 US dollars;
  • The cost of a step is $0.01.

The contract application period is one month. The last trading day is the last Friday of each month. The execution price will be based on the average value of the corresponding Moscow Exchange Index of foreign digital currencies for the period from 17:00 to 18:00 MSK on the last day of the contract conclusion.

From May 14, investors will have access to contracts executed in June, July, and August 2026:

  • SOL-6.26 (S3M6), SOL-7.26 (S3N6), SOL-8.26 (S3Q6)
  • XRP-6.26 (XRM6), XRP-7.26 (XRN6), XRP-8.26 (XRQ6)
  • TRX-6.26 (TXM6), TRX-7.26 (TXN6), TRX-8.26 (TXQ6)

Today, qualified investors have access on the Moscow Exchange to settlement futures on shares of investment funds that track the value of Bitcoin (IBIT, trading starts in June 2025) and Ether (ETHA, trading starts in August 2025), as well as futures on Bitcoin and Ether indices (BTC and ETH, trading starts in November 2025). Detailed information about the cryptoasset contracts is posted onon the Moscow Exchange website.

From May 13, all digital currency indices of the Moscow Exchangewill be counted onbased on the prices of crypto instruments on the four largest crypto exchanges. The calculation will be conducted with a frequency of once every 15 seconds throughout the entire trading day, as well as during additional sessions within one day. The methodology for calculating the indices is posted onMoscow Exchange website.
