Washington, May 8 /Xinhua/ — On Friday, American military personnel withdrew two more ships flying the Iranian flag from formation to an Iranian port in the Oman Gulf amid an ongoing blockade of all Iranian ports by the United States. This was reported by the U.S. Central Command on the social network X.
“The US Central Command (CENTCOM) has implemented blockade measures against two unloaded oil tankers flying the Iranian flag, which attempted to enter an Iranian port in the Oman Gulf,” the publication states.
As indicated by CENTCOM, the F/A-18 Super Hornet fighter jet of the U.S. Navy, launched from the aircraft carrier “George Bush,” disabled both tankers by firing precision-guided munitions into their exhaust pipes.
