China’s foreign exchange reserves increased by 2.05% in April 2026

Beijing, May 7 /Xin Hua/ — As of the end of April 2026, China’s foreign exchange reserves amounted to 3.4105 trillion dollars. The US, which had 68.4 billion dollars, or 2.05 percent more compared to the figure recorded at the end of March. This is evidenced by data published on Thursday by the State Administration of Foreign Exchange Control (SAFE) of China.

The GVBK stated that the growth of China’s foreign exchange reserves in April was due to the combined influence of fluctuations in exchange rates and changes in asset prices.
