Jerusalem, May 6 /Xin Hua/ — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Wednesday denied reports that Israel was caught off guard by Washington’s diplomatic steps regarding Iran, stating that he practically communicates daily with US President Donald Trump to ensure full coordination.
“We are in constant contact with our friends in the United States,” emphasized B. Netanyahu. “I talk with President Trump practically on a daily basis. My people and his people communicate every day, including today.”
He added that he has a new phone conversation planned with D. Trump later in the evening.
Israel is “ready for any scenario” regarding Iran, continued B. Netanyahu, pointing out that the Jewish state and the United States have common goals, the most important of which is the export of enriched uranium from Iranian territory.
Israeli officials have expressed support for the resumption of strikes on Iran. According to them, the nuclear potential and ballistic missile stocks of the Islamic Republic continue to cause concern.
