Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Alexander Novak held a working meeting with the Minister of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan Erlan Akkazhenov.
During the conversation, the parties discussed the prospects of bilateral cooperation in the TEK sector as part of preparations for the upcoming meeting of the leaders of the countries in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Deputy Prime Minister noted that cooperation in the trade-economic and investment sphere between Russia and Kazakhstan is developing successfully, large-scale joint projects are being implemented in industry and energy. “Relations with Astana are one of the priorities of Russia’s foreign policy. We are satisfied with the level of our dialogue. Today, our cooperation, both in bilateral and multilateral formats, is needed as never before against the backdrop of strong global turbulence.””Under these conditions, we necessarily need to act decisively, working together in a general political and economic interest, using the potential of highly integrated ties formed over the previous years,” emphasized Alexander Novak.
