Yerevan, May 5 /Xin Hua/ — Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and French President Emmanuel Macron, who is on a state visit to Yerevan, signed a declaration on the establishment of a strategic partnership between the two countries on Tuesday. This was reported by the press service of the head of the Armenian government.
In the course of the two-sided meeting, N. Pashinyan noted that the visit of the President of France to Armenia opened a new page in the relations between the two countries.
E. Macron, for his part, emphasized that the important agreements signed during the visit are fully embedded within the framework of a strategic partnership; however, it is important that the processes continue with unwavering progress, especially in the areas of defense, security, economic relations, and investments.
During the meeting, authorized officials from two countries signed documents on cooperation in such areas as artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, semiconductors, research and development of military technologies and defense systems, digitization, and energy.
