London, May 3 /Xinhua/ — A woman and a man died, and three more people were injured as a result of an explosion in one of the residential buildings in the city of Bristol in the south of England /United Kingdom/ after the incident, which law enforcement officers qualified as “domestic”. This was reported by the local police on Sunday.

The Avon and Somerset police clarified that at 06:17 a call was received regarding a domestic incident in a house on Sterncourt Road. The explosion occurred shortly afterwards, around 06:30, before the police arrived at the scene.

Superintendent of Police Matt Ebbes told journalists in Bristol that the deceased were a woman and a man. Three more victims—a man, a woman, and a child—were taken to the hospital with “minor injuries.”

This week, the United Kingdom raised the level of terrorist threat to ‘severe’ (the second highest level of danger) after the police recognized the knife attack in the Golders Green area of London as a ‘terrorist incident’.
