At Bauman Moscow State Technical University (BMSTU), a two-day PR intensive course was held for heads of public relations departments and specialized units of universities “Information and Communication Support of University Activities: Strategies, Tools, Practices.” The organizers were the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation and Sociocenter. More than 200 people from 130 universities across Russia, including representatives of Polytech, participated in the event.

From the Saint Petersburg Polytechnic University of Peter the Great, the Head of the Public Relations Department Marianna Dyakova and the specialist of the Technological Leadership Office Maria Delinskaya actively participated.

The main event of the intensive for Politechnica was the recognition of its merits in the informational coverage of the program “Priority 2030” in internal and external resources. Out of all universities, only a few were awarded, and SPbPU was among the best.

Last year, the university team implemented numerous projects: videos, social media posts, news on the website, a press conference at RIA Novosti, and this was all completed with a major feature in Rossiyskaya Gazeta. This year, work on covering “Priority 2030” continues, but the focus will now be on project teams, engagement, and employee motivation. We want to show that behind all developments and discoveries, there are, above all, people.

Moreover, Marianna Dyakova took part in the round table “University Cases. Question – Answer,” where university representatives shared their successful experience in the information space. The organizers noted the success of Politechnika and such practices in the organization. Special recognition was given to the “Prorector” project, joint projects with the State Hermitage and the All-Russian Scientific Research Geological Institute named after A. P. Karpinsky.

The Head of the Public Relations Department of SPbPU gave a detailed account specifically about the project with the Hermitage. It seems to be the most interesting and unusual because it presents a scientific and technological agenda through masterpieces of world art. Such a practice interested many participants of the intensive.

The intensive program was very rich and useful. The speakers covered topics relevant to all universities: anti-crisis PR, working with negative events, legal aspects of informational activities. Special attention was given to the issues of using Anglicisms and distinguishing between advertising and regular information — topics that today cause much debate not only in the educational environment. A key feature of the event was its interactive format: the speakers did not just give presentations, but held an open dialogue with participants, answered questions, and shared practical advice.A networking area was also organized — participants communicated with each other, discussed joint projects, and exchanged experiences.
