The State University of Management has entered the list of universities shaping the agenda for the development of student KVN in Russia. This is confirmed by the results of the all-Russian monitoring, which covered universities in eight federal districts.
Monitoring was carried out by the Methodological Center for the Study and Strengthening of the KVN Movement, operating on the basis of the State University of Management.
The study showed: KVN in universities gradually becomes not only a creative direction, but also part of the educational environment. At the same time, it is precisely the systematic approach — from infrastructure to involving students in social projects — that determines the positions of universities in the rating.
Rector of HSE Vladimir Stroev emphasized that the movement has significant potential for development:
“The KVN movement should become a tool for implementing the “Third Mission” of the university: helping in the upbringing of leaders, the development of the creative economy, and patriotic initiatives.”
Leaders of the overall rating
According to departmental affiliation of universities:
Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation — 0.53;
Minobrnauki of Russia — 0.52;
Ministry of Justice of the Russian Federation — 0.50.
By federal districts:
North Caucasian and Siberian Federal Districts — 0.44;
Central and Volga Federal District — 0.43.
Monitoring has shown that universities have opportunities for the development of KVN, but they are used unevenly. Universities have modern venues and concert halls, however, in some regions they are not sufficiently utilized for games, rehearsals, and team events.
The weakest area has become material and technical support. Teams often lack equipment, costumes, and means for travel. This limits student participation in inter-university events and reduces opportunities for team growth.
A separate area of attention is personnel support. Even where specialized staff are responsible for the development of KVN, they often combine this area with other tasks. Because of this, work with student associations does not always become systematic.
The study also showed that the potential of KVN teams is still weakly used in volunteer, patriotic, and socially significant projects. At the same time, creative youth can become an important resource for the development of the university’s third mission.
The inclusion of GUU among the leaders confirms its role as a university that not only supports student initiatives but also sets directions and development goals.
