Washington, April 29 /Xinhua/ — Conflicts in Iran and Ukraine may end “around the same time.” This was stated by US President Donald Trump on Wednesday after a phone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
According to D. Trump, the conversation with the Russian leader went “very well” and mainly touched on the long-standing Russian-Ukrainian conflict, as well as “a bit about Iran,” D. Trump told journalists at the White House.
“Which war will end first? Perhaps they will /end/ at the same time,” noted D. Trump.
According to him, during a telephone conversation he proposed a “small truce” in the Ukrainian conflict to the Russian leader.
According to reports from Moscow, V. Putin has proposed a temporary ceasefire during the celebration of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, which is observed annually in Russia on May 9.
