Approximately 2.5 billion rubles will be additionally allocated to the Kherson region to support the balance of the regional budget in the first half of 2026. The decree on this was signed by the Chairman of the Government Mikhail Mishustin.

Financing in the form of subsidies will come from the federal budget. The funds will be used to ensure the priority and socially significant obligations of the regions. This includes social payments to citizens and the acquisition of specialized ambulances.

In 2025, to support the balance of the Kherson region budget, the government allocated almost 5.5 billion rubles.

An order is also being prepared for signing on the allocation from the Cabinet’s reserve fund of about 2 billion rubles for the purchase of electrical equipment to form an emergency reserve in the new region. With the help of these funds, power transformers necessary for eliminating emergencies in the power supply systems will be purchased, so that in case of unforeseen situations, the power supply to homes and enterprises can be promptly restored.

Speaking about the decisions made atat the Government meeting on April 29,Mikhail Mishustin noted that it is important to continue doing everything necessary for the development of these Russian regions, so that infrastructure projects are implemented, the socio-economic sphere is strengthened, and people are provided with the same state guarantees as in the country as a whole.
