UN, April 27 /Xin Hua/ — UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Monday called once again to reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
“The rights and freedoms of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz must be respected… These principles must be fully observed and without delay,” said the UN Secretary-General at the open debate in the UN Security Council on the topic “Security and protection of maritime waterways.”
“I call on the parties: open the strait, allow passage of ships without fees and discrimination, let trade resume, give the global economy a chance to breathe,” said A. Guterres. –0–
