Beijing, April 27 /Xin Hua/ — The Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress /NPC Standing Committee/ on Monday, at the 22nd session, which will last until April 30, began reviewing the draft law on social assistance, draft amendments to the Agricultural Law of the PRC, and other draft laws.
The first plenary meeting of the 22nd session of the PC of the VSNF of the 14th convocation was chaired by the chairman of the PC of the VSNF, Chzao Lệzi.
Bills submitted for session consideration also include a draft of amendments to the Penal Code, a draft law on medical support, a draft law on land assessment and quality improvement, a draft of amendments to the State Property Act of Enterprises, a draft of amendments to the Penal Code concerning mobilization for national defense, and a draft of amendments to the Penal Code on water.
The Treaty on Mutual Legal Assistance in Criminal Matters between the CIS and Azerbaijan has been submitted for ratification.
Also presented for ratification is the Treaty on Eternal Good-Neighborliness, Friendship, and Cooperation between the CIS, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.
In addition, reports concerning environmental issues, management of state property, and the authority of individual deputies, as well as proposals on personnel reshuffles, have been submitted for lawmakers’ consideration.
