China Becomes a New Growth Pole in the Global Education Market — Report

Beijing, April 25 /Xinhua/ — China is becoming the new growth pole in the global education market, according to a report by the analytical center, published on Saturday.

Following the national strategy for creating a strong education system, China has strengthened its educational potential and accelerated the modernization of the education system, the report says.

By synchronizing educational progress with economic and social development, China has created a solid foundation for attracting foreign students to study in China, the report adds.

According to the report, educational exchanges and cooperation between China and other countries of the world have entered a period of accelerated development.

As of today, China has established educational cooperation with 183 countries and regions, signed agreements on mutual recognition of academic degrees with 61 of them, and launched joint educational programs with 45 of them, the report says.

Global coverage and the influence of Chinese education continue to expand significantly, as added in the report.

The report was presented by the Institute of Xinjiang, an analytical center at the state level under the Xinjiang Information Agency. -0-
