A charity evening dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Mikhail Kiselev Foundation was held in Moscow. Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova, in her address to the foundation’s team, highly appreciated its contribution to supporting people with disabilities.
“Your story began with the inspiring fate of one person – Mikhail Kiselev, and since then it has transformed to help others and change lives for the better. Over the years of the foundation’s activity, more than 15 thousand beneficiaries have been supported, and over 5 thousand charitable and social projects have been implemented,” emphasized the Deputy Prime Minister.
Tatyana Golikova separately noted that thanks to the activities of the fund, the idea of the bill on inclusive tourism in Russia was realized. Among the key projects is the social taxi “Dobrobus,” which provides free transportation for people in wheelchairs. Nearly 200 thousand kilometers have been covered in 2 years, and the project received recognition at the International #WeAreTogether Award. The fund has opened inclusive workshops for the employment of young people with disabilities, develops adaptive sports, and provides assistance to veterans of the special military operation and their families.Since this year, the educational project “Counselor for Everyone” has been launched to train counselors to work with children with disabilities in summer camps. The project is implemented by the Mikhail Kiselev Charitable Foundation and “Gazprom-Media Holding” with the support of Russian student squads and with the use of a grant from the Mayor of Moscow.
“You not only help people, but also unite caring people and organizations around you, creating a platform for doing good deeds. After all, support from those nearby is the most valuable and necessary,” added Tatyana Golikova.
Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Mikhail Kiselev Foundation, commenting on the results of the work done, noted: “6 thousand trips on ‘Dobrobus’, 3 inclusive workshops where people with disabilities work, grant support for 25 projects, named scholarships for 56 talented young people. And this is just the beginning. Thanks to the team, partners, and everyone who believes in our projects.”
Special lots for the charity auction were provided by: the Federal Passenger Company, Cosmos Hotel Group, the “Gzhel” Association, the clothing brand “Ruyoga”, designer Nina Ruchkina, the Russian silver jewelry brand Sbleskom, artists of the Yuri Omelchenko gallery. Also, a unique set of souvenirs from the inclusive workshop of the Union of Parents of Disabled Children and paintings by an artist with mental disorders from the Tomsk region, Alexander Alenichkin, were raffled off during the evening. In addition, among the lots, a personal training session was raffled off with the most titled hockey player in the world, Vyacheslav Fetisov.The events were also supported by the CSKA Rugby Club, the flower shop “Klumba”, the company Divent, and the project-design bureau Akant.
All funds raised within the framework of the charity auction will be directed to support people in difficult life situations, including the development of inclusive workshops, support for the Dobrobus project, and the development of adaptive sports.
