Chairman of the Government Mikhail Mishustin signed an order establishing the quota for admission to targeted training in universities at the expense of the federal budget for 2026.

A total of more than 83 thousand places have been allocated for targeted training, of which more than a third are in healthcare, about 20 thousand in the field of engineering and technology, approximately 13.5 thousand in education and pedagogy, and more than 9 thousand in agriculture. The quota has been formulated based on applications from enterprises and organizations.

Speaking about the decision made onGovernment meeting on April 21, Mikhail Mishustin emphasized that professional training of specialists is one of the most important tasks, to the fulfillment of which great attention is paid. The head of the Cabinet also noted that the new detailed procedure for establishing quotas will fully take into account the staffing needs of the regions, guarantee a graduate a job in their field, and attract trained and interested specialists to companies.
