The sixth All-Russian online voting for improvement objects began on April 21 and will last until June 12. Residents of the country can choose public territories that will be improved in 2027, as well as influence the already selected design projects of the spaces. This was reported by Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin.

“The improvement of public areas changes the appearance of settlements and improves the quality of life of people. Thanks to this work, new points of attraction are created in the region, which also stimulates the development of small and medium-sized businesses, the creation of new jobs, and growth in domestic tourism. It is important that the initiators of changes and the formation of a comfortable urban environment are the residents themselves.”Today, on Local Self-Government Day, at the All-Russian Municipal Forum “Small Homeland – the Strength of Russia,” President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin announced the start of the All-Russian voting on improvement projects. It will take place until June 12, Russia Day. We see great interest from citizens in participating in the voting. I am confident that this year Russians will show high activity again, and each vote will contribute to improving the quality of life in the settlements,” said Marat Khusnullin.

In the 2026 voting, 88 regions of the Russian Federation are participating. For the fourth time, residents of reunited regions are joining the selection; projects from last year received almost 131 thousand votes. Voting will take place in settlements with a population of over 20 thousand people, as well as in key settlements. Residents will also be able to vote for specific design projects for improvement: pavement, small architectural forms, landscaping, and lighting.

“All-Russian voting is a unique mechanism that unites volunteers, municipal teams, and federal development institutions. Over five years of voting, Russians have shown a steady interest in forming the urban environment: if in 2021 there were 9.7 million votes recorded, then in 2025 this figure reached 16.6 million. Such growth in civic engagement confirms that the federal project ‘Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment’ has become truly popular, involving residents in decision-making about how cities and settlements should change and develop.””Improvement programs are becoming more targeted, taking into account local identity and requests of very diverse social groups,” noted the Minister of Construction and Housing and Utilities of the Russian Federation Irek Faizullin.

The territories and design projects selected based on the voting results will form the basis of the municipal improvement program financed from the budget (federal, regional, local) and extrabudgetary sources. Accessibility of voting is ensured by volunteers. Thus, in 2025, almost 170 thousand volunteers helped 60% of participants to vote.

“Volunteers for six years have become a real driving force of voting. If in 2021, in the volunteer corps of the ‘Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment’, slightly more than 11 thousand people participated, today there are already hundreds of thousands of volunteers of various ages across the country. These are people for whom the development of their cities and settlements is important. Such growth reflects the coordinated work of regional headquarters, the Dobro.RF team, and the high demand of people to participate.””The project gives everyone the opportunity to get involved, see the result, and personally influence the future of their city,” noted the chairman of the State Duma Committee on Youth Policy, head of the ‘Dobro.RF’ ecosystem Artyom Metelev.

Citizens aged 14 and older can participate in the voting. You can make your choice independently on the platform zagorodsreda.gosuslugi.ru, through the mobile application “Gosuslugi. Let’s Decide Together”, as well as with the support of volunteers who will work in all regions, using the “Dobro.RF” ecosystem.

Voting has been conducted since 2021 as part of the federal project “Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment”, which in 2025 became part of the new national project “Infrastructure for Life.”
