On May 6, a training on entrepreneurial competencies will be held at the Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering. The event is organized within the framework of the University Technological Entrepreneurship Platform. The training sessions are conducted by the Moscow Physical-Technical Institute (MFTI).
In the training mode, participants will work in teams and develop a technological startup under conditions that simulate a real business environment. The training is aimed at developing product skills, including formulating and testing hypotheses, creating a basic product functionality, and making data-driven decisions; soft skills such as communication, teamwork, and adaptation to changing conditions; as well as cognitive skills like critical thinking, empathy, and risk management.
The program includes six consecutive stages: from forming teams to the final presentation of projects to investors.
Team creation. Formation of workgroups, assessment of available skills and experience, selection of technologies and application areas for product development.
Generation and formation of product ideas.Proposal of ideas within the team, exchange of feedback between groups, receiving feedback.
Hypotheses about the target audience and problem.Definition of the product’s target audience, formulation of the problem to be solved, preparation of hypotheses for initial testing.
Development of a startup business model.Development of the project’s monetization method (subscription, direct sales, marketplace, etc.).
Creating a minimally viable product (MVP).Assembly of a demonstration version of the product with minimal resources based on the principles of startup operation.
Pitch session before the investor.Preparation and presentation of a three-minute presentation for investors and partners. Evaluation of ideas by experts, investment in the most promising projects. Determination of the winning team based on the results of the session.
