Washington, April 21 /Xin Hua/ — U.S. Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer is leaving her post amid an investigation into alleged violations, becoming the third cabinet member to resign during Donald Trump’s second presidential term.
“Labor Minister Lori Chavez-DeRemer will leave the administration to take a position in the private sector,” wrote White House Communications Director Stephen Chun on social media platform X on Monday.
According to him, Deputy Minister of Labor Keith Sonderling will take the post of acting head of the department. –0–
