At LLC “Promzheldortrans-Service”, a subsidiary of “KAMAZ”, an “Open Doors Day” was held for eighth-grade students of the sponsored secondary school No. 22.
The event was held as part of the All-Russian campaign “Turnstile-Free Week.” Before the excursion around the enterprise began, the children underwent an introductory briefing on safety rules and labor protection requirements, after which they were introduced to the world of railroads. The young guests were divided into two groups. The first group went to the locomotive and carriage depot, where they were told how the enterprise’s technical service maintains and repairs diesel locomotives and other rolling stock. The children showed great interest in railway transport technology and asked many questions on the subject of railways.Then the students were able to ride on the locomotive and get closer to familiarize themselves with the work of the engineer.
The second group at that time was at the “Avtozavodskaya” station. Here, eighth-graders were shown the work of dispatchers and operators of the centralization post. The kids were told about the main railway professions, the importance of railway transportation, and the process of route formation for the movement of trains. They also conducted a railway quiz, in which the students eagerly participated. After this, the groups switched places.
After the excursion in the administrative building of the enterprise was completed, commemorative souvenirs were presented to the guests. The students and their teachers thanked the organizers for the interesting excursion and gifts.
