Shanxi, April 18 /Xinhua/ — On Saturday in Shanxi /East China/, the 5th retail store under the brand “Made in Russia” officially opened.

The opening of this store, organized by the Russian Export Center /REC/, became a landmark step in promoting Russian products and culture in the Chinese market under the national brand “Made in Russia.”

It should be noted that the opening of this store became a truly innovative event – for the first time in China, a completely new format was launched – a retail store with its own zone for the production of fresh bread using traditional Russian technologies.

The technology of Russian bread baking was taught to the staff by an invited R&D specialist from a large Russian flour manufacturer and exporter. The uniqueness of Russian baking lies in the fermented dough and the short shelf life, which directly affect freshness and natural taste. Therefore, the bread will be baked in the store in small batches every day.

On the store shelf, customers will be able to find confectionery, drinks, dairy products, flour, and other Russian goods.

“The opening of the 5th store in Shanghai demonstrates the recognition of Russian products by the Chinese market,” said the general representative of REC in China, Evgeny Bazhov.

According to him, the REC plans to create a long-term and stable cooperation mechanism using a network of stores under the brand “Made in Russia” to help a larger number of Russian goods and companies enter the Chinese market. At the same time, Shanghai is a key place to increase the visibility of Russian brands in China.

As of now, under this brand, a total of 19 retail stores have been opened in China.
