An important disclaimer is at the bottom of this article.
The Moscow Exchange, together with the Association of Managers and with the support of the Bank of Russia, will create the first compliance managers rating in Russia in the field of combating insider trading and market manipulation.
Also, as part of the work on preparing the rating, it is planned to conduct a study of best practices in compliance management within the framework of Federal Law 224-FZ.
Irina Grekova, Managing Director of Compliance and Business Ethics at the Moscow Exchange:
“Compliance managers play a key role in managing the risks of insider trading and manipulation in the Russian financial market. This is a systematic work of market participants, the trade organizer, and the regulator, directly influencing trust in the market and its sustainable development. They are confident that the rating will become an important and objective tool for assessing compliance experts and a benchmark of professionalism for the entire industry.”
Vyacheslav Evseev, Executive Director of the Managers Association:
“The launch of a rating of the best compliance managers is a significant initiative reflecting the growing role of the compliance function in modern business. Today, compliance leaders not only ensure adherence to regulatory requirements but also shape a culture of transparency, ethics, and responsibility within companies. For the business community, it is extremely important to identify and replicate best practices, set benchmarks for professional development, and strengthen trust in market institutions.”I am confident that the new rating will become a significant platform for exchanging experience and will contribute to the further improvement of corporate governance standards in Russia.
Information about the rating will be published on the Association of Managers website (active link). The results of the first rating will be presented in September 2026 at the annual compliance conference organized by the NES “Higher School of Economics” (NES HSE).
