Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin held a working meeting with the governor of the Orenburg region, Evgeny Solntsev, at which issues of the socio-economic development of the region were discussed.

“The implementation of state programs and projects in the Orenburg region is generally going well. In 2025, 1.2 million sq.m of housing will be commissioned in the region, which is 1.4% more than in 2024. Work is also actively underway on the comprehensive development of territories. To date, 17 sites with a total area of 368.5 hectares have been identified, and implementation has already begun on 12 of the projects. According to the road map plan for 2026-2031, a project is planned in the region for the construction of the southeast bypass of the city of Orenburg with a length of 8 km, which will become part of the international transport corridor Europe – Western China,” said Marat Husnullin.

The Deputy Prime Minister added that the region is paying attention to the renewal of communal infrastructure. The Presidium of the Government Commission on Regional Development had previously approved the financing of six projects for the modernization of housing and communal services in the Orenburg region at the expense of treasury infrastructure loans for a total amount of about 2.46 billion rubles.

In turn, the governor of the Orenburg region, Yevgeny Solntsev, noted that the road ring of Orenburg is one of the priority projects not only for the residents of the regional center but also for the economy of the region as a whole.

“Through the Orenburg region pass the shortest routes to Central Asia and China, so developing the logistical potential will be a profitable investment for all of Central Russia. The turn to the East is a natural process, the economy of Asian countries is growing, as our President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin says today. I am confident that in the near future other infrastructure projects will be decided upon, which will strengthen the position of the Orenburg region,” said Evgeny Solntsev.
