Yerevan, April 15 /Xin Hua/ — From May 3-5, due to the holding of the summit of the European Political Community, all types of general aviation flights will be prohibited in Armenia. This was reported on Wednesday by the Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia.
“Considering the holding of large-scale events in the Republic of Armenia from May 3 to 5, 2026 / the 8th Summit of the European Political Community, the Armenia-EU Summit, the ‘Yerevan Dialogue’ forum / and the participation of numerous foreign delegations in these events, it is reported that from May 3 to 5, 2026, for security reasons, flights of any type of general aviation, including civil unmanned aerial vehicles, are prohibited in the airspace of the Republic of Armenia,” the department’s statement says.
Restrictions specifically apply to flights of non-commercial business aviation, training aircraft, as well as private aircraft performing special aviation tasks. –0–
