New York, April 14 /Xinhua/ — The International Monetary Fund (IMF) on Tuesday lowered its forecast for global economic growth in 2026 to 3.1%, while maintaining its forecast for 2027 at 3.2%. This is stated in the updated version of the IMF report “World Economic Outlook.”
Before the start of the conflict in the Middle East, global economic growth forecasts, constructed on the “bottom-up” principle, were 3.4% in 2026 and 3.2% in 2027.
