Students of SPbGASU are undergoing internships in China as part of the academic mobility program

Representatives of two universities at the ceremonial opening of the program

As part of the academic mobility program, 25 students from the Saint Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering will undergo an internship at Henan University of Urban Construction (HGUC) in the People’s Republic of China. The visit was organized in accordance with the cooperation agreement between the two universities and will last from April 6 to April 30.

The internship program is extensive and includes a whole range of activities. Its main goal is to give students the opportunity to immerse themselves more deeply in the unique Chinese culture, to acquaint future specialists with China’s construction industry, its traditions, and its modern achievements.

On April 8, the internship was solemnly opened. Participants were given a detailed explanation of the program content, its key events, and the long-standing fruitful cooperation between SPbGASU and HGU.

A fourth-year student of the Architectural Faculty spoke on behalf of SPBGASU with a welcoming wordSofya Nikolaeva:She thanked the representatives of the Chinese university for the warm welcome and wished the program participants a successful, interesting, and useful internship.

The visit program is diverse and harmoniously combines educational and cultural components. The students have already visited the museum of the city of Pindingshan, toured the famous Shaolin Monastery – one of the most well-known Buddhist sanctuaries in China, and also visited Zhunyue – an ancient Daoist sanctuary, an important site of spiritual life in Henan province.
