Moscow, April 11 /Sina/ — Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting on Friday at the Kremlin on the development of technologies and artificial intelligence /AI/ and named five priorities for the development of this sector in Russia. The corresponding message was published on the Kremlin’s website.
At the meeting, the head of state emphasized the strategic importance of AI for the future of the country. “AI, along with digital platforms and autonomous systems, fundamentally forms a different look at the economy, social relations, social sphere, education, healthcare, logistics and industry, defense, and security,” Vladimir Putin emphasized.
The Russian leader named five priorities in the development of AI in Russia, among which are the development of programs for accelerated implementation of AI technology, adaptation of the human potential development system for its application, and the development of proprietary solutions for national defense.
“The first is the programs for accelerated AI implementation in key sectors of the economy and the social sphere, within the system of public administration,” the message says.
“The second is the adaptation to the widespread application of AI throughout the entire system of human potential development: from primary school to the labor market. It is necessary to promptly restructure the mechanisms of training and retraining personnel, the levels of education, to a new technological order,” he added.
As V. Putin noted, the third point is the inevitability, taking into account the expansion of AI implementation in sensitive sectors, and generally its growing influence on people’s lives, society, and the economy, to calculate models of the main risks and threats arising in connection with the use of such systems, and to determine measures for their timely prevention.
“The fourth is the development of AI’s own solutions for national defense and security. Here, I repeat, we must possess the most advanced technologies, using maximally sovereign domestic products,” added V. Putin.
The head of the Russian state named the creation of an integrated system for promoting Russian AI systems and services abroad as the fifth priority, as well as the development of cooperation in this important field with partners in the CIS, SCO, BRICS. –0–
