Islamabad, April 11 /Xin Hua/ — A high-level Iranian delegation headed by the Speaker of Parliament Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf arrived in Islamabad on Saturday to participate in talks with the USA. This was reported in a statement by Pakistan’s ISI.
The delegation also includes the head of Iran’s Ministry of Intelligence and Security, Abbas Araghchi.
According to the statement, upon the arrival of the Iranian delegation, they were met by the Vice Premier and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Mohammad Ishaq Dar, as well as the Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, the Commander-in-Chief of the Pakistan Armed Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir, and the Interior Minister of Pakistan, Raza Naqvi.
Isaak Dar expressed hope for constructive interaction between the parties and once again confirmed Pakistan’s readiness to further assist efforts to find a long-term and sustainable solution to the conflict. –0–
