Minsk, April 10 /Xin Hua/ — A fragile and vulnerable world, “the law of the strong” has replaced international law, trust is lost and the potential for conflict has increased. This was stated by the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko on Friday at the solemn ceremony of presenting credentials to ambassadors of foreign states. The corresponding information was published by the press service of the head of the Belarusian state on the same day.

“If 38 states participated in the First World War, then around 60 did so in the Second World War. About 90 countries are already involved in current conflicts—without a small half of all the countries in the world. Including major nuclear powers,” A. Lukashenko drew attention to.

The head of the Belarusian state noted that one of the major conflicts is taking place on the southern border of Belarus, while another sows countless victims and destruction in the Middle East. Humanitarian problems are arising, pressure on the global economy, threats of energy and water crises, and prerequisites for new waves of refugees.

“What is this? An alarming alarm of the approach of another global war or its manifestation already? One wants to believe that humanity will have enough wisdom to stop in time and direct its forces toward creative goals on Earth and in the sky,” summarized A. Lukashenko. –0–
