Beijing, April 10 /Xin Hua/ — Chinese migration control authorities recorded 185 million entries into and exits from the country in the first quarter of 2026, which is 13.5 percent more in annual terms, according to the latest data from the National Immigration Administration of China.
According to data, 91.66 million of this number are entries and exits of residents of the mainland part of China; the growth of this indicator was 14.2 percent.
In turn, residents of Xiangan, Aomen, and Taiwan, as well as foreign citizens, made 72.49 million and 21.33 million border crossings respectively, with an increase of 10.3% and 22.3%. At the same time, the share of foreigners entering the territory of China under the visa-free regime accounted for 77.9% of the total number. -0-
