Beijing, April 9 /Xin Hua/ — China firmly opposes the United States’ excessively broad interpretation of the concept of national security. This was stated on Thursday by the official representative of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mao Ning.

Mao Ning made a corresponding statement at a regular briefing for journalists, commenting on the plans of the Federal Communications Commission of the United States to hold a vote on a proposal to ban all Chinese laboratories from testing electronic devices used in the United States.

“Such actions seriously hinder normal trade and economic exchanges between Chinese and American enterprises and do not serve the interests of either side, including American companies and American consumers. China will continue to firmly protect its lawful rights and interests,” emphasized the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC.
