Washington, April 7 /Xin Hua/ — US President Donald Trump stated on Tuesday that the White House is conducting “intensive negotiations” regarding the war against Iran.
“We are currently conducting intensive negotiations,” he said in a telephone interview with Fox News several hours before 8:00 PM Eastern Time — the deadline he set for concluding a deal with Iran and opening the Hormuz Strait.
According to a CNN report citing a source from the Middle East region, the negotiations were directly led by the Commander-in-Chief of the Pakistan Armed Forces, Field Marshal Asim Munir.
“Several pieces of news from both sides are expected soon,” and it is expected that the deal will be closed on Tuesday evening, a source reported.
