Yulianna Karaulova is a Russian singer, TV presenter, and a member of the jury of the International Children’s and Youth Award “Ecology is Everyone’s Business”.
The singer actively supports ecological initiatives. Her many years of activity in the field of nature protection and environmental education regularly attract media attention. Thus, in 2018, Yulianna Karaulova became the ambassador of the online project of the Moscow Department of Natural Resources Use “Ecomanifesto: 10 ways to love Moscow.” Within the framework of the project, the singer openly spoke out for responsible consumption and called on the audience to join this cause: “If I don’t wear a piece of clothing for a year, or even less, I give it to friends, donate it to a charity fund, or put it up for sale on a marketplace. I follow the principle that any item should bring joy, not lie in the closet as dead weight, and I recommend such an approach to those around me.“.
In 2020, the singer took part in a video supporting the RNO program (separate waste accumulation) of the Moscow Department of Housing and Communal Services. Yulianna Karaulova urged Muscovites to join separate waste collection and explained how to properly sort garbage and distribute it into the appropriate bins.
An important achievement of 2023 for the singer was receiving the “Green Gramophone” — a special category of the “Golden Gramophone” award, which recognizes artists who demonstrate special ecological responsibility.
“For me, ecology is the world we live in and the one we will leave to our children. As nature shows us today, action is needed immediately. For example, from an early age, children should be taught proper eco-habits. This is an absolutely feasible task for every adult and even for a child.” – notes Yulianna Karaulova.
On April 6 of this year, the singer took part in the solemn ceremony of the cancellation of the artistic postcard of the International Children’s and Youth Prize “Ecology — everyone’s business.” The event was timed to coincide with the Prize’s anniversary. Yulianna Karaulova enthusiastically noted that it was a great honor for her to participate in this ceremony: “It is very pleasant to witness how a small card has turned into a great symbol. Let it travel across the country and the world, inspire and remind that ecology is truly everyone’s business».
