On March 25, at the St. Petersburg State Architectural and Civil Engineering University, there wasIII National (All-Russian) Scientific and Practical Conference “Modern Technologies in Engineering Systems and Urban Economy”.
Young scientists, researchers, as well as senior students and graduate students participated in the event. Among those gathered were specialists from Krasnoyarsk, Moscow, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Nizhnevartovsk, Perm, Petersburg, Saratov, Tyumen, Ulyanovsk, and other cities, as well as from Kazakhstan.
The Vice-Rector for Research of SPbGASU addressed the participants of the conference with a welcoming speechEvgeny Korolev. In his address, he noted the significance of holding such scientific events for the development of engineering education and strengthening cooperation between the university, the scientific community, and industry representatives. Special attention was given to the role of innovative technologies in solving pressing urban economy challenges and in training highly qualified specialists.

During the plenary session, reports were presented dedicated to key directions of the development of engineering systems. Participants discussed problems of utilizing excess heat in conditions of limited space, issues of interaction of automated information systems in electric power engineering, the role of specialists in land management and cadastres in urban economy management, as well as ensuring safe domestic drinking water supply.
The conference work continued in the format of thematic sections, covering a wide range of scientific and practical directions.
In the section“Water Use and Ecology”Modern technologies for the treatment of domestic and industrial wastewater were considered, issues of environmental safety and rational use of water resources were discussed, as well as problems of urban greening.
Block“Geodesy, land management and cadastres”was devoted to the issues of digitalization of cadastral activities, development of “smart city” technologies, geodetic support of construction processes, and technologies of informational modeling in building construction, as well as monitoring of engineering infrastructure.
Within the section“Information technologies, mathematical modeling and teaching mathematics in higher education”modern modeling methods were discussed, the application of artificial intelligence in design, as well as the use of mathematical models in solving interdisciplinary scientific problems and game theory in economics.
Topic“Construction physics, electric power engineering and electrotechnics”united research in the field of energy efficiency, acoustic comfort of the urban environment, and automation of engineering systems.
In the section“Heat, Gas Supply, and Ventilation”Relevant issues of the development of heat supply systems, improvement of energy efficiency, use of renewable energy sources, and advancement of ventilation technologies were considered.
The conference became a platform for exchanging scientific experience, discussing current industry problems, and seeking promising solutions in the field of engineering systems and urban economy.
