Beijing, April 5 /Xin Hua/ — On Sunday, April 5, which this year was the Qingming Festival /Day of Remembrance of the Deceased/, the Chinese web service portal, developed under the guidance of the Ministry of Civil Affairs /MCA/ of the People’s Republic of China, was officially launched.

The site is aimed at the informational needs of the population related to funeral services, and unites informational resources of funeral services throughout the country, also providing reliable information for inquiries and consultations related to funerals, burial, and memorial events.

MGA official Suy Tszeshen stated that civil administration bodies across the country participated in the development and promotion of this web portal, noting that the web portal will help people engaged in the organization of services quickly find resources for services in different regions and clearly navigate the prices for corresponding services.

According to the ministry, at the next stage, the website’s functions will be expanded to promote environmentally friendly burial methods and encourage civilized traditions of commemorating the deceased in China.
