Washington/Tehran, April 5 /Sin Hua/ — Both crew members of the U.S. Air Force F-15E fighter jet shot down in Iran were found after an “intense firefight.” This was reported on Sunday by the Al Jazeera TV channel citing an American official.
U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed this information on his page on the social network Truth Social.
D. Trump noted that the second rescued pilot was injured but remains “whole and unharmed.”
The plane was shot down on Friday in southern Iran. One crew member was found earlier, while American and Iranian military forces continued the search for the second.
D. Trump added that no American servicemen died or were wounded during the rescue operation.
