Dushanbe, April 1 /Sina/ — On April 1, the spring call-up of citizens to the ranks of the armed forces began in Tajikistan. This was reported by the country’s Ministry of Defense.
The conscription is carried out on the basis of the decree of the President of Tajikistan dated February 28, 2026. According to the document, male citizens born between 1999 and 2008 are called up for military service. Citizens of older ages who do not have the right to deferment or exemption from military service are also subject to conscription.
The campaign will be extended until the end of May and will cover all regions of the country.
Spring and autumn conscriptions are held annually in Tajikistan. The authorities continue to take measures to improve service conditions, which contributes to an increase in the number of volunteers among the youth. –0–
