Dmitry Patrushev held a meeting within the framework of Incident No. 42 ‘Fishing Vessels’.

“At the moment, 55 high-performance vessels have already been handed over to fishermen, and 44 of them were completed over the past three years as part of the work on the incidents. By the end of 2026, we are expected to deliver another eight vessels. The process of allocating investment quotas as part of the second phase continues. Since its launch, 34 contracts for the construction of fishing vessels and crab vessels have already been signed,” Dmitry Patrushev said.

Auctions are also planned for this year, as a result of which an additional 13 contracts may be signed for the construction of crab farms for the Northern and Far Eastern basins.

At the meeting, issues were discussed regarding the financing of shipbuilding, termination and amendments of investment contracts, as well as the further consolidation of quotas for the extraction of water bioresources that have been freed up. In addition, special attention was paid to improving the regulatory framework related to the construction of the fishing fleet.

Following the meeting, Dmitry Patrushev instructed to control the compliance of shipyards with the shipbuilding schedules, as well as to continue the monthly monitoring of the situation regarding the implementation of incident projects at the fisheries site.

Incident №42 “Fishing Industry Vessels” was created to coordinate work on the completion of the construction of fishing industry vessels within the framework of the implementation of the mechanism for granting quotas for the extraction (catch) of aquatic bioresources for investment purposes.

When working in the incident format, a special project management system is used, which is deployed on the basis of the Government Coordination Center. It allows for the operational coordination of participants’ actions and monitoring of project implementation in real time.
